What's included in my registration?
Good question.
Laptop Internet & Power: This is a hands-on workshop and you’ll need to work on your computer. We’ll make sure you have a power supply and wireless internet access.
We highly recommend that you have Photoshop on your laptop. Fireworks is a “nice to have” program too, but you can get by not having it. If you don’t have Photoshop, you can download a trial version for 30 days. Don’t worry if you’re not familiar with working in Photoshop. We’ll guide you along.
Complete Workshop Materials: An electronic copy of the complete slides and notes from the workshop. We’ll have these items ready for you during the workshop or right after. Much of the material covered is hands-on exercises versus presentation slides.
Energy-packed Breaks and Lunch: This conference is so intense, you’ll need frequent replenishment, so food and drinks are an important part of the day. You’ll get a great continental breakfast in the morning, and a mid-morning and afternoon break. We’ll also provide you a great lunch. We’ll make sure there are vegetarian and gluten free options. Let us know on any dietary restrictions you have on the registration form.
How do I pay for my registration?
We’re pretty flexible with payment options. There are several ways to pay for your conference registration: credit card, check, and purchase order. (Some have tried to barter with chickens, but we’ve got all we need, so you’ll have to use conventional currency.)
If you choose to pay with a credit card, you’ll automatically be registered for the conference and your credit card is charged on the same day.
Paying with a PO or a check is a little trickier, but don’t let that discourage you. Register just like you would with a credit card, but select the check or PO option. You’ll then receive an email with invoice information. Work with your accounts payable team to get the payment processed within 15 days of when you registered. We’ll send you a receipt when we receive the check.
Register by the deadline date, so you get the best price. As long as we receive it within 15 business days of the registration deadline, you’ll be all set and get the best price available.
Are there group or educational discounts?
At this time we do not offer group or educational discounts. Our early bird price is truly the best price out there.
If you do have a team of 5 or more people and the early bird price has expired, give us call at 978-327-5561 and ask for Lauren. We’ll make special arrangements to get your group in at the early bird price.
What's the workshop schedule?
We have a lot to cover so we’re starting early. But don’t worry. We won’t have a 6:30am sunrise yoga class.
Registration and continental breakfast will start at 7:30am. The workshop will start at 8:30am. We’ll have a mid-morning break around 10:15am. At noon, we’ll provide you lunch. We’ll start back up at 1:00pm. By 3:00pm you’ll need that “7th inning stretch.” We’ll make sure there are caffeinated beverages available to get you through the home stretch. We’ll wrap things up by 5:30pm.

What happens if I can't attend?
You can’t come? Oh, my. That would be a bummer. We were looking forward to meeting you.
Well, things happen, but we understand unforeseen situations. You have a few options.
Send someone in your place: You can substitute a colleague up to 48 hours prior to the workshop with no charges or penalties. You can either make the change yourself on your registration (look at your registration receipt for details), or you can send the person’s name and contact information to events@uie.com.
Attend another Sidebar Workshop: You can apply your registration to another Sidebar Workshop in 2011. Just sends us an email to events@uie.com, and let us know which city you want to change your registration to.
Get a refund: If you let us know you need to cancel within 48 hours of registering, we’ll refund you 100% of the amount you paid. After 48 hours and up until 15 days before the workshop there is a $150 cancellation fee. Less than 15 days from the workshop date we’re unable to give you a refund.

That’s right. We guarantee you’ll be 100% satisfied with the Sidebar Workshop.
We’re confident you’ll get a lot from this workshop and immediately put your new-found skills into action. If you’re not completely satisfied for any reason, we’ll refund your entire registration fee.
